How to Get to Dublin Ferry Port

Below you will find all the information needed when travelling to Dublin Ferry Port by car, train or coach.

Four ferry operators use the Port of Dublin and these are P&O Ferries, Irish Ferries, Stena Line and Isle of Man Steam Packet.

Dublin Port is located on the east coast of Ireland and is centrally located just minutes from Dublin city centre and is well signposted. Buses and taxis provide a regular service from the port to the city and beyond.

Dublin Ferry Port by Car

M1 - If travelling from the north take the M1 which then connects you to the Dublin Port Tunnel.

N11 - Take the N11 if travelling from the south of Ireland which connects with the Dublin Port Tunnel.

N7 - If coming to Dublin Ferry port from the west take the N7 which connects with the Dublin Port Tunnel.

If travelling from the city centre then Dublin Ferry Port is close to the city centre and is well signposted. From the city centre head towards the Quays from O'Connell Bridge then down to the Point Depot music venue, then turn left and follow the road all the way to the port.

Dublin Ferry Port By Rail

There are two stations in Dublin.

Connolly Station provides services to the North and South of Ireland and is situated 4 miles or just a 15 minute bus ride from Dublin Ferry port.

Heuston Station provides services to the West of Ireland and is situated 7 miles or a 30 minute bus ride from Dublin Ferry port.

The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) train service will take you to and from Dublin Port in less than half an hour.

Dublin Ferry Port By Coach

The Main Bus Station, Busárus is situated 4 miles from Dublin Ferry port. There is a connecting bus service between Dublin Ferry port and the city centre operated by a local bus service.

If travelling with Stena Line they offer a complimentary coach service between Dublin Centre and Dublin Port. The Morton coach departs from their bus stop (coloured red and white) located on Westmoreland Street opposite the Westin Hotel.

Parking at Dublin Ferry Port

Short Term Pay and Display parking is available immediately outside the Terminal. Long term parking is available charged on a daily basis day in the car park to the left of the main terminal building.
